The Daoist Tapping Ceremony is an ancient ceremony that was performed by The Sages of the Plum Red Robes — an order of Daoist Monks and Sages from Old China in around 500 B.C. The Daoist Monks and Sages revered the winter solstice as their most sacred time of the year — the longest night of the year, where the sun is then reborn — bringing a new celestial energy and light into the earth plane. So, the Monks and Sages would gather together for three days for a Plum Wine Fast and tap on a table with bone knockers to enter deep trance states, align to the mystical celestial energies, and receive inner guidance and visions.
In honor of this ancient tradition, we gather together each year during the winter solstice for a Plum Wine Fast and tap on a table for three days with bone knockers, just as the Daoist Monks and Sages of old once did. It’s a deep meditative process that takes one into a very deep trance state — a deep silence and calm. As we come together with discipline, it creates an anomaly of sacred space, allowing us to receive energies and fractal codes from other dimensions.
In 2008, Stuart Wilde reintroduced performing the Daoist Tapping Ceremony with Khris Krepcik and a small group in the land of the Ancient Etruscans. We traveled from around the world and gathered together in the countryside of Tuscany, Italy, bringing an ancient tradition from 2,500 years ago back into our modern day and age. And we’ve celebrated it annually ever since.
The 2018 Daoist Tapping Ceremony — Venue
This year, we’re taking a small group of 40 people with an affinity for mystical things (one of which could be you) to a luxurious Country Estate set on 163 acres of beautiful countryside with a private 50-acre lake — in West Cork at the southern tip of Ireland. This exclusive venue offers the perfect comfort, privacy, peace, and serenity for the energy of our ceremony.
The Plum Wine Fast
The Plum Wine Fast involves drinking one shot glass (2.5 oz) of plum wine and one liter of water, every four hours, for three whole days (72 hours) — with no food. The wine doesn’t have a drunken effect on a person. It takes one into a state of softness and keen etheric perception. The fast begins at midnight on December 19th and ends at midnight on December 22nd. At the end of the fast, we celebrate with a midnight feast of fruits, vegetables, breads, and cheese.
The Tapping Ceremony
The tapping ceremony is performed with a circle of people sitting around a wooden table in silence. We simply tap in unison with bone chess pieces for 72 hours, with nothing but the sound of the tapping. We tap in shifts of groups of 8 people tapping at a time. The room goes very spacial, wide, and deep, with a speckled ambience to it, as if it were in another dimension. You can often see people disappear and morph into the non-solid nature of reality.
Healing, Rejuvenation, and Rest
We consider the Daoist Tapping Ceremony during the winter solstice to be our sacred, private time of the year to gather together, heal, rejuvenate, and rest ourselves from the work we do throughout the year. As such, this event is not an event of scheduled lectures. It’s a gathering of those of like interest that have a deep reverence for this ancient ceremony, as well as a time of enjoying and sharing metaphysical discussions. It’s always a very mystical experience.
This Ceremonial Gathering Includes:
- Four Night’s Accommodation at the Venue
- One Evening Dinner, before the Fast Begins
- Plum Wine and Spring Water
- Midnight Celebration Feast
- Final Morning’s Breakfast
